Design
The device comes with one protector case already screwed and bolted around the device, and another is given in the box, along with a pin/driver that can be used to unscrew the edges of the protector and change it for the second case provided. Let us analyze each side of DOOGEE T5 Lite in detail
Front Side:
Due to the emboldened edges, the front of the phone receives some elevation when placed face down. The device receives a great protection due to the tightened protective case, and the screen itself is the toughest glass ever made, this is the truly impressive feature of Doogee T5 Lite. It doesn’t scratch even when thrown around haphazardly the moment you get home and aim for the bed.
Back Side:
The back is protected by a leather protective case, which sets in-between the bolted edges. This way it ensures the safety of your phone and does not fly away when your phone hits the floor.
The 13MP camera & dual flash are protected by a metallic encasing, also bolted into the leather. This ensures complete safety for the camera and even the battery that is behind the protector screen.
Right Side
The right side possesses a total of three buttons, the power button, and the volume up, volume down button, in little circular metallic form all equidistant from each other, which gives the phone an “old school” look.
Left Side
The left side is identical to the right, with a plain leather running between the metal casing. It’s due to this that the phone gets a firm grip in the users’ hand.
Bottom Side
The bottom is protected by a soft leathery cushion giving the phone a perfect protection when placed standing up.
Top Side
The top contains two slots, one for USB and the other for a headphone jack. These are capped by leather fabric to shield them from the water.
Display
The device comes with a 5.0-inch IPS LCD Capacitative Display, which is the world’s MOST LEADING cutting edge, LCD technology. It has a curved display which gives protection to the phone when it is placed face down during a business meeting or a social event. It also applies, cool colors to keep your screen from flashing bright light to your face every time you unlock.
When you’re out in the Sun and use the phone, it automatically adjusts the backlight to prevent your eyes from scrounging. The capacitative screen provides deep color palate which gives the whole display a more “classy” feel. It comes pre-installed with features such as Ambient Light Sensor, Accelerometer sensor & Proximity sensor.
Camera
Doogee T5 Lite has really outdone itself with this device. It comes packed with great hardware and software. The camera quality is praiseworthy for a phone that is not much on the looks itself but is intended to be a strictly-business kind of mobile. It has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera, with DUAL LED flash on the back and an equally supporting flash at the front as well, face detection and works very well with video recording.
You can record videos in Full HD at 1080 [email protected] The camera also comes packed with a ton of features such as geo-tagging, LED flash, autofocus, HDR, ISO, Panorama, Face detection, 6P Lens, Interpolated Resolution for the rear, 16MP and for a front, 8MP.
Battery
Doogee has always had a good reputation when it comes to providing enough battery life to its phones. T5 Lite comes packed with 4500mAh Lithium-ion battery which means it is expected to last longer. Typically a smartphone today comes with 3500 mAh battery, as with the newly launched and controversial Samsung Note 7, thankfully it is not in production anymore!
A smartphone drains the battery when running on 3G, LTE, or Wi-Fi, and Apple’s 7 series has only a standby time of 12 hours on 3G and LTE, while 14 hours on Wi-Fi. Doogee is crafted carefully to stand by up 72 hours with talk time. Using the Internet might cause the desired amount to be less than expected but still quite a lot more than the rival Samsung and Apple. Essentially, you would be looking at 48 hours of talk time and Internet browsing on Doogee T5 Lite.
Features
Doogee T5 Lite comes packed with cool features such as Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, and Ambient Light sensor. Personally speaking, the absence of one “essential” feature has made me fall in love with this feat of the invention, that is, Finger Print scanner.
I have never been a big fan of Fingerprint scanner. I recall when I bought iPhone 6S and was so excited to try out the new Fingerprint scanning feature, only to understand for my misfortune that it does not work in “all” situations. What I mean is, if you place your pre-scanned finger on the home button incorrectly, or even partially wrong, it won’t unlock the phone!
Another thing that annoyed me was that, if my hands are wet and I needed to use the phone for unlocking, it can’t be done. My fingers needed to be dry and had to place my finger on the Home button exactly the way I had scanned it.
That was very frustrating especially when I was at work and had to use the phone for compelling reasons. Not that you cannot do it as required, but it is a bit far fetched to expect the users’ from doing it the same way every single time.
Thankfully, with T5 Lite, we have no reason to worry about a silly feature like that! I also never felt safe with that feature on my iPhone but had no way to get it out of my way. But, with T5, there is every bit of satisfaction a business person, like myself, can get!

Pros and Cons
Pros:
